“Once Upon A Time” Storytelling

Listen and imagine the world of the story when our professional storytellers share through narration and enactment, a published children’s storybook. Children are encouraged to interact, sing and dance with our storytellers as they describe and act out the world of the book.

A different book every week!

“Look What I Made!” Arts & Crafts

Whether it’s sand or sticker art, colouring or painting, kids can participate in making their own take-home art pieces. Creativity is key and their imagination the captain of this hands-on arts and crafts workshop.

“Kids Free Play”

Kids are encouraged to play with the interactive outdoor games at the Sky Garden. Have a picnic and chill out to relaxing background music

Love Literate

Love is the foundation of the parent-child relationship. Every parent loves their child but does the child always know he/she is loved? Because every child expresses and receives love differently, parents need to communicate love in ways their child feels loved. Strengthen your parent-child relationship by discovering five communication styles to express love and find out through which one your child best receives love.

At the end of this talk, parents will be able to:

  • Value the need to fill up their child’s emotional love tank
  • Gain understanding of the Five Love Languages
  • Discover their child’s primary love language and take practical steps to expressing love for them

I Can Act 2!

Following a successful first run of I CAN ACT! kids drama workshops, Gateway Academy is proud to present its second series in collaboration with ACT 3 Theatrics: I CAN ACT 2! is a holiday programme for your child to develop his or her creativity and self expression!

I CAN ACT 2! will impart drama techniques and skills and bring out the actor in your child!

Objectives: To encourage participants to express ideas, work together as a team, to explore and overcome challenges.
Skills learnt: Performing & Creative Skills, Team Building.

The workshop will end with a simple showcase where parents and family are invited to join in the last half-hour to see what their little actors have explored and learnt in the class. Children will receive a Participation Certificate at the end of the class.

I Can Write!

A 5-day Writing Workshop
Recommended for ages 8 and above

Help your child ignite their interest in writing and stories - this workshop will engage children in fun writing exercises that will lead up to participants writing original stories.

This workshop will help bring out the young author in your child!

Objectives: To encourage participants to write the first word, then the next and set their thoughts free to spin a short story.
Skills learnt: To appreciate elements that make up a good story and to use that knowledge to write a short, original story.

Our program also incorporates a values-based approach where children will consider values such as ‘Kindness’, ‘Sharing’, ‘Courage’ as themes during the workshop and classroom interactions.

Children will receive a Participation Certificate at the end of the class.

I Can Dance!

A half-day Hip Hop Dance Programme
Recommended for ages 7 - 12

Get ready to move!
Our introductory dance camp will be great in getting the young ones to be active in a fun way. They will learn dance basics such as warm-up routines, hip-hop moves, rhythm and also memorise short choreography and formation.

Objectives: To engage the participants in a healthy yet fun activity that will encourage them to keep active, to activate the kinaesthetic learning of the participants by teaching them a new skill and boost the confidence of the participants by pushing them out of their comfort zone and learn about performing.
Skills Learnt: The fundamentals of dance and performance skills, and basic hip hop movements

Children will receive a Participation Certificate at the end of the class.

*Parents are invited to attend the mini-showcase at 2pm.
